Six Sentence Sunday: Love You to Death

Good morning, faithful SSS readers!  I hope that you’ve been having a lovely weekend.  I know I have, and it’s gotten me waxing sentimental.  In the spirit of that, I decided to dust off an old WIP that I hope to finish sometime in the near future.  It’s a story of Haitian Voudou and resurrecting the love of your life.  It’s called Love You to Death and I hope that someday it will reach the light of day.  Anyway, enjoy…..

He pressed his body roughly against mine, grinding his cock eagerly against my center.  “Feel that,” he growled fiercely.  “That’s real.”

And I believed him.  Every question that still lingered in my brain was washed away by his lips and tongue.  His kisses became more insistent as they travelled farther south.  His tongue lingered around my navel, teasing it until gooseflesh rose in anticipation.  I wanted him so badly and I knew that he could smell my desire.

ugggh… I have GOT to start working on this story again!!!!  What do you think?

Anyway, enough about me.  Be sure to check out all the other SSS participants at

Six Sentence Sunday: Bloodflowers

I can’t help it… I’m in love with this story right now.  To be specific– I’m in love with Seth, my badass vampire hero.  I predict that you’ll be hearing a lot out of old Seth in the coming months…so I hope you aren’t sick of reading yet.

Seth broke away, purring deep in his throat as he swept her drunken, limp body into his arms.  He carried her swiftly through the labyrinth of corridors and up the stairs, moving with an impossible speed that took her breath away.  When they arrived at the end of the hall, he kicked the double doors, breaking the latch so that they flew open.  Willow flinched at the sound of the wood splintering as the doors hit the wall behind with enough force to leave a dent in the plaster.  He tossed her unceremoniously onto his bed and stood back, watching her with a predatory glare.

“Are you going to kill me?” she whispered, sitting back on her elbows.

“Yes.”  He watched as her chin began to tremble and she started moving backward slowly.  “I’m afraid you’ve been chosen.”

Alright, so it’s a little more than six.  But I just couldn’t stop….

BTW… don’t forget to keep going on this crazy train that we like to call Six Sentence Sunday.  There’s lots of other authors, dare I say– better authors– to sample.  Go check them out at

Good morning, ladies and germs!  I hope that your weekend has been full of smut and excitement.  It’s now time to settle down with our coffee and indulge that most guilty of pleasures:  Six Sentence Sunday.  Now kittens, I know I’ve been away for a few weeks, but now I’m back in writing form and giving you a tiny morsel of a vampire tale I like to call… Bloodflower.

“Dying is a peaceful repasse,” she whispered letting her idle fingers stroke through the messy piles of his hair.  “A way to stop the pain.”

Seth chuckled darkly.  “Are you willing to take that chance, love?  Who knows what lies beyond this mortal cage?”  Lifting his head, he brushed the smooth skin of his cheek against hers, relishing the sensation of skin against skin.  He breathed against her, his scent and serpentine movement hypnotizing her almost immediately.  “A cold, dreamless sleep from which you cannot wake.”

Rawwr… that Seth is something else.  He can come feast on my flesh anytime.  Now, don’t forget boys n’ girls… you must go sample the other SSS offerings.  And don’t forget to leave a comment or two.

Six Sentence Sunday: Bloodflower

Ah, Sunday… that day of the week when we get to tick down a list of fabulous writers, reading their best and brightest in six sentence bursts.  Its one of the only things that make Sundays bearable for me.  I’ve never liked Sundays– they’ve always been boring and melancholy for me.  And this Sunday, I think we all have reason for a little melancholy.  Today is, of course, the ten-year anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy.  I’m sure we all remember exactly where we were and what we were doing on that fateful morning.  I was teaching math to a bunch of third graders.  And I still remember that overwhelming sense of fear and sadness as clearly as if it were yesterday.

I think about my life and how different it is now, and it’s still a bit spooky.  The whole world has changed since that day and we’ve all had to change with it.  My point is— change IS living and going on is all we can do.  It’s the American spirit and that’s what’s gotten us through the last ten years.  BUT… why dwell on past tragedies?  I think we owe it to our heroes to have a little fun today.  To show the world that we’re Americans and can’t be kept down!  So without further ado, a little taste of Bloodflower, my current WIP and amazingly, its a vampire piece!

“We’ve only just met, friend.”  He reached down and grabbed Toboggan Man by the throat, lifting him high off the ground.  “It wouldn’t be polite not to have you for dinner.”  Before he could scream, the vampire bashed him twice against the bricks behind him, shattering his skull and leaving fragments of gray matter and bone behind.  As the man fell limp in his grasp, the vampire stole another look at the girl and saw that she was dazed with the
shock.  He tossed the man aside, leaving him to ooze his blood slowly onto the pavement beneath him.

I love a badass vampire….

Six Sentence Sunday: Dollface

Hey kids!  I decided to post something a bit different for my SSS entry this week.  Its a piece I’m currently working on called “Dollface.”  Its a story about a lonely woman named Caroline who has a very interesting profession– she’s a cosmetician for the dead.  As if that weren’t strange enough, she finds herself obsessively in love with the mortician’s son with grisly and tragic results.  There’s no erotica, no happy ending– a bit of a stretch for me.  But I hope you’ll give it a taste…

“Hi there, dollface.”  Caroline turned to see Scott coming in the door behind her.    His long legs allowed him to cross the room in two strides and she watched him every inch of the way.  Her heart fluttered just for looking at him.  Everything about him, from his pristine skin to the sharp lines of his
cheekbones was in perfect harmony.  She’d thought of him so many times while alone in the dark: his strong arms around her, his lips whispering softly against her ear.

Short, but sweet.  Its horror, but I hope you like it.  If erotic romance is more your speed, than you can find my other works at, All Romance eBooks, and Sugar and Spice Press.

Six Sentence Sunday: A WIP

Good morning, boys n’ girls!  I hope you’re all having a most restful weekend. I got to thinking that perhaps I’ve used nearly ALL of “Second Skin” in six sentence increments, so I’ve decided this week to spice things up a bit with my newest WIP.  “Bloodflowers” is an erotic horror piece about a very unsparkly vampire and the object of his affection.  Enjoy and comment, as I do seek reassurance that I’m not crazy…

“No no…” the vampire chuckled with an overly pleasant tone. As the man fell limp in his grasp, the vampire stole another look at the girl and saw that she was dazed with the shock.

So I promise there will eventually be some erotic with that horror…

Six Sentence Sunday!!! WARNING– NC17

Yes, my lovelies… its that time of the week.  Time for SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY!! Muwahahaha!  This week’s spotlight is yes, from my new release, “Second Skin”!  Its been out a week and I’ve heard some positive things!  I hope they aren’t just blowing sunshine.  Anyway, check out the book.  And if I’m not convincing enough….

With a firm hand, he grasped his cock, so hard that the skin looked strained to bursting, down at the base.  He glanced up at me teasingly as if to ask if this was what I’d been wanting.  I giggled at his playful gesture and rubbed my own sex obscenely in response.  He slid his body over mine,
still holding himself and absently stroking.  Using just the tip, he traced the line of my slit, tormenting me with such a light caress.  I groaned and reached down, hoping to guide him inside, but he wasn’t so gullible.

Ah well… you can’t go wrong with steamy sex.  Here’s your instructions:  1.  Go over to and buy a copy of “Second Skin” for your eReader or phone.  2. Run a warm bath.  3.  Enjoy.  😛

A Day Late and a Dollar Short…

Available August 13th from Sugar and Spice Press

So I’m sitting here preparing my Six Sentence Sunday post thinking that it will be the week before the release of “Second Skin.”  I wanted to put a link back to my awesome publisher’s website in the post.  Out of curiosity I wanted to see my cover on the “Coming Soon” page (again, I like to see my book cover on someone other than my sister’s facebook page).  To my extreme delight, it was there, looking all beautiful and sexy.  And then I saw that I had been telling people THE WRONG RELEASE DATE. Good job, Lexxx… you moron, you.  The book actually comes out THIS SATURDAY, August 13th.  NOT August 20th as I’ve been thinking all this time.  But I’m not surprised.  I’ve been so insane crazy this week that I’m surprised that I even remember that I’m a writer.  I surely haven’t thought about any writing except for writing schedules, lesson plans and letters to parents.

Now that I’m going back to school, I’ve been thinking a lot about our education system in this country.  My husband told me today that our esteemed Superintendent of PUBLIC Education here in South Carolina, refused money from the federal government to HELP our PUBLIC SCHOOLS.  I mean, isn’t that his job— to protect the children of our state?  I’ve come to the conclusion that teachers are the most trod-upon, bullied professionals in our country when they should be the most respected.  The vast majority of people in this country are educated in our public schools, yet people seem to be hell-bent to destroy them.  Teachers are constantly blamed for the inadequacies of our society– bad parenting, lack of funding, lack of parental support and the lack of importance placed on education.  We complain that the Japanese and other countries are so ahead of us in education, but its not because our kids aren’t as smart– far from it.  In my small town I’ve taught some of the brightest.  The problem is that even though we make speeches and say that education is important, the cold, hard dirty truth is that– it isn’t.  Case in point:  Me:  Johnny, why don’t you have your homework today?  Johnny: I had a soccer game last night and I didn’t get home until late.  Pardon me, shouldn’t your child’s most important job outside the home be school?  Nothing should be more important and if soccer or baseball or football or swimming is keeping your child from getting his or her homework done, then perhaps they shouldn’t be doing it.  I’ve also heard the excuse, “Well he’s a talented football player.  He could go pro someday and what will he need with book learning?”  Do these people not realize that 1 in a million people that WANT to play pro sports actually make it to the pro leagues?  And what about that knee that gets shattered playing high school ball?  Its just so infuriating because our kids have so much potential.

Anyway, off my soapbox for tonight.  I’m off to relax with some friends in Second Life.  My Second Life is way more carefree…LOL

BTW…. if you can read this—- GO HUG A TEACHER!!

Six Sentence Sunday: Masquerade

Just a taste of my WIP…

Blythe leaned back into his arms, her center throbbing at the crudity of his wording.   It made her feel dirty-sexy, almost
whorish.  And she would never have expected to like that feeling, but for some reason it was a powerful aphrodisiac.  Apollo reached around, cupping her breast roughly in his palm, offering it up to the other man like a delectable treat.  The Raven fell to one knee before her, kissing the bit of her areola that peeked out from behind the drape of silk.  One hand went to the other breast, kneading it roughly as he lapped at her warm flesh, drawing soft sighs from her lips.

Six Sentence Sunday—oops…

I know, I know… my first one of these and I’m late and totally forgot about it.  My day was awful yesterday.  I’m sure they’ve deleted my link, but here it is anyway and hopefully they’ll give me another chance next week….

OK.. This week’s selection is from my newest release, due out I believe August 20th with Sugar and Spice Press.  “Second Skin” is the story of Catherine Spencer, a bored paralegal who is sick of her humdrum likfe with her husband Alex.  When she goes to a dinner party and meets  mysterious stranger, Jack Leannan, everything she’s ever known is turned upside down.

All of the hair on the backof my neck bristled, sending a shudder through my body at the crudity of his
words.  “Poor thing.  It’s been so long for you, hasn’t it,  A grá?  So long youfear that you’ve forgotten how.”  Every syllable went straight to my sex and I could feel the warmth building so fast that I parted my thighs, praying that the cool ocean breeze would calm it.  His mouth was on me again, slipping from the crest of my cheek to the gentle slope of my throat.  “You need a good fucking,” he growled, pulling my body roughly against his groin.
